In your contact information, you don't need to put your physical address. Instead, your contact information should include your cell phone number, email address, and a link to your online profile. You can create a custom link for your LinkedIn profile or if you have your own website, you could include that link instead.

Start With a Statement

Under the heading, you should have a statement that describes your skill set for the executive position you are looking for. This should let a recruiter know what your experience is in the field using measurable terms. You should also include a list of your core competencies or areas of expertise in this section. Putting these at the top will once again make your resume stand out and make it easier for the recruiter to see if you have the skills they are looking for.

Highlight Achievements

Under your openings statement section, you should have a select achievement section or career highlight section. This is where you choose a few specific achievements from your career that you want to highlight. These achievements should be picked based on the job you are applying for; cater the achievements to show you have the skill set to achieve in your desired position. This is a chance to really highlight the achievements you are proud of.

The first page of your executive resume should really highlight your skills. You want to put all the most important information, such as your credentials, statement, core competencies and achievements front and center.
